Plans
There are three plans — Free, Starter and Pro — billed monthly. Open Pricing in the header to see each plan's price and a feature-by-feature comparison. The page opens without signing in.
| Plan | Monthly price (USD) | Monthly price (KRW) | For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | ₩0 | Trying the editor and personal projects |
| Starter | $8.99 | ₩9,900 | Indie publishers and small businesses needing print PDFs |
| Pro | $24.99 | ₩29,900 | Professional designers, studios and print shops |
Prices include VAT. Your account's country decides which currency you see and pay in: accounts in Korea are billed in won, all others in US dollars. Before you sign in, prices are shown in won only when the interface is in Korean.

- Of the PDF outputs, the Free plan can make proof prints only (screen RGB, no bleed or crop marks). Print-ready PDFs start at Starter; the Free plan can make them too with PDF passes (see "Passes" below).
- EPUB export is free and unlimited on every plan, including Free. It doesn't count toward the monthly limit and never uses a pass; only the per-layout page limit applies.
- On a plan without spot color separation export, spot colors are converted to process (CMYK) in the PDF. Using spot colors on screen and checking them in the separation preview works on every plan.
- Buttons for features your plan doesn't include show a lock and a See plans link.
Your current plan and its features are shown under My Account › Plan.

Usage limits
Each plan limits how much you can create and upload.
| Limit | Free | Starter | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Layouts | 5 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Pages per layout | 30 | 120 | 600 |
| Storage | 200 MB | 3 GB | 20 GB |
| Image or PDF file size | 10 MB | 30 MB | 50 MB |
| Font uploads | No | 50 MB per file, up to 10 fonts | 100 MB per file, no limit on the number |
| Prints and PDF exports per month | 10 | 100 | 500 (priority processing) |
| Help assistant questions per month | 10 | 30 | 100 |
| Print PDF kept for re-download | 1 day | 7 days | 30 days |
- Going over a limit never deletes layouts or files you already have; only creating or uploading new ones is blocked. The same goes when you move to a lower plan.
- Storage includes images and PDFs uploaded to layouts as well as images, patterns and fonts uploaded to your account. Files of deleted layouts are not counted. If you run out on a paid plan you can buy more (see "Extra storage" below).
- Proof prints and print-ready PDFs are counted together; EPUB exports are not counted. A job that fails still counts as one. Proof previews and anything made with a pass are not counted. Pro jobs are processed ahead of other plans.
- A month starts on the 1st at 00:00 UTC (9 a.m. in Korea). When you use up a monthly limit, wait for the next month or buy passes.
- The help assistant also has a limit of 50 questions a day on every plan (see "Help assistant" in the "About PodoLay" document).
- After the keep period, the print PDF file is deleted and can no longer be downloaded from the editor or dashboard; export the layout again.
See what you have used under My Account › Plan › Usage, or in the usage line above the Layouts tab on the dashboard. Items that have reached their limit are shown in red.

Subscribing and cancelling
Online payments are handled by Paddle. You can pay by card, KakaoPay or Naver Pay, and your statement shows PADDLE.NET* PODOLAY.
Subscribing
- Open Pricing in the header.
- Click Subscribe on the plan you want. The checkout opens.
- The plan applies as soon as the payment completes. After that you are charged automatically every month on the same day as your first payment.
Changing plans
While subscribed, click Switch to this plan on another plan and confirm; the change is immediate. The rest of the period is prorated — moving up charges the difference right away, moving down credits the remaining amount to your next payment.
Cancelling and resuming
- Click Cancel subscription on the Free plan card, or Cancel subscription under My Account › Plan, and confirm. You keep your current plan until the next billing date, then move to Free. Extra storage ends with it.
- Once cancellation is scheduled, the Pricing page shows the end date at the top and the Free card shows Cancellation scheduled. Before the next billing date, click Keep subscription on your current plan's card to continue the subscription.
- You can't delete your account while a paid subscription is active. Cancel it first.
Payment method and failed payments
- Change your payment method and get receipts in Paddle's billing portal, opened with Payment & receipts under My Account › Plan.
- If a renewal payment fails, that screen asks you in red to update your payment method. You keep your current plan for 7 days after the billing period ends, and the subscription continues if payment goes through in that time. If it never does, you move to the Free plan.
If an administrator set your plan without a payment, the plan cards show Request a plan change; send a support inquiry to change plans.

Extra storage
On a paid plan (Starter or Pro) you can add storage to your plan in 1 GB steps. It costs $0.99 per GB per month (₩1,000 for accounts billed in won; VAT included) and is not a separate payment: it is added to your current subscription and billed with your plan on the same date.
Steps
- Open My Account › Plan.
- In the Extra storage box, enter how many GB to add. The extra monthly amount appears next to it.
- Click Apply and confirm. Your storage limit grows right away and the usage bar shows it.
Billing and changes
- If you add storage mid-cycle, nothing is charged right away: the prorated amount for the rest of the period is added to your next payment. If you reduce it, the difference comes off your next payment.
- You can't reduce it below what you already use. Delete files first.
- You can't change it while your subscription is set to cancel. Resume the subscription first.
- When you cancel, extra storage ends together with your plan. Files over the limit are not deleted; only new uploads are blocked.
- It isn't available on the Free plan. Subscribe to a paid plan first.

Passes
One-time passes let you keep making PDFs or asking the help assistant after your plan's monthly limit runs out. 10 PDF passes cost $0.99 and 10 AI assistant passes cost $0.99 (₩1,000 each for accounts billed in won; VAT included); you can buy several packs at once.
- Your plan's allowance is used first; a pass is used one at a time only after that. Passes never expire and stay when you change plans.
- PDF passes cover proof prints and print-ready PDFs alike. On the Free plan, a PDF pass also lets you make a print-ready PDF (CMYK, bleed, crop marks). EPUB export is free on every plan, so it never uses a pass. The page limit of your plan still applies, and spot colors are converted to process.
- When a PDF pass will be used, the editor asks before saving the PDF. If the export fails, the pass is returned.
How to buy
- Open My Account › Plan.
- In the Passes box, choose how many packs and click Buy.
- On the Free plan a checkout opens and the passes arrive once you pay. Paid separately at checkout, passes come in a minimum of 3 packs because each payment carries a fixed fee. On a paid subscription the passes arrive right away and the amount is billed with your plan on the next billing date (charged now if your subscription is set to cancel).

Payment history
Open My Account › Payments to see your past payments and pass history.
- Payments: renewals, prorated plan or storage changes, additional charges and one-time pass payments are listed with date, details, amount (VAT included) and status. After a refund the status changes to "Partly refunded" or "Refunded" and the refunded amount is shown.
- Receipts: click Receipt on a payment to open its receipt PDF in a new tab.
- Passes & storage history: passes you received (purchased or granted by an admin) and granted storage. Pass usage is shown in the usage section of Plan.

Refunds
If you ask within 14 days of a payment, that payment is refunded in full, whatever the reason. This applies to first payments, renewals, extra storage and passes alike. Extra storage and passes bought on a paid subscription are billed together with your plan, so the 14 days count from the payment they were billed on.
How to ask
- Send a request through Support › Contact Us with your account email and the payment date. You can also ask Paddle directly by following the instructions in your receipt email.
- We reply with the result within 3 business days. The money goes back to the payment method you used; depending on your card or payment method it can take 5–10 business days.
- Once refunded, the payment's status changes in Payments (see "Payment history").
After a refund
- If a plan payment is refunded, the paid plan and extra storage end at once and you move to the Free plan.
- If only extra storage is refunded, only that ends. If a pass payment is refunded, the unused passes from that payment are taken back.
- In every case, layouts and files you already have are not deleted.
If a PDF or other output came out different from your saved layout because of a fault on our side, you can get back the export count or pass it used even after 14 days, and on a paid plan you can ask for that month's fee to be refunded. Send the layout name and the date you made the PDF through Contact Us. The full terms are in Refund Policy at the bottom of the page.
