Fonts

Where you upload and manage the fonts used in your documents.

Fonts tab

The Fonts tab on the dashboard lists the fonts you have uploaded, grouped by family. Each card shows the font name, the number of styles, the file size and a sample set in that font. At first it shows No fonts.

The 45 built-in fonts (Noto Sans KR, Noto Serif KR, Nanum Gothic, Nanum Myeongjo, Japanese, Chinese and Latin fonts and more) are available in every document without uploading anything, and they are not listed on this tab. See the list and licenses under Font licenses at the bottom of the page. The default font is Noto Sans KR.

Uploading fonts

  1. Click the Add Fonts button or drag font files onto the list.
  2. Supported formats are TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2 and TTC. Uploading fonts needs the Starter plan or higher (Starter: up to 50 MB per file and 10 fonts · Pro: 100 MB per file, no limit on the number); on the Free plan Add Fonts shows a lock and an explanation.
  3. Uploaded fonts appear in the font list the next time the editor is opened. An editor that is already open does not pick them up — reload the tab or reopen the document.

A TTC (collection) file is split into its individual fonts automatically when uploaded. When the file names follow the pattern 'family name + space + style' (Bold, Italic, Light and so on), as in Family Bold.ttf, files of the same family are grouped into one card. Files named otherwise get a card each.

Not sure where to find font files? Click Where to find font files for the font folder paths and steps for each operating system. Checking the copyright and license of the fonts you upload is your responsibility.

Deleting fonts

Hover over a card to show a trash button at its top right. Click it to delete the fonts on that card — for a card that groups several styles, the whole family. You are asked to confirm. Documents that used the font are drawn with a substitute font from then on.

Documents with missing fonts

When a document uses a font that is neither a built-in font nor in your account (deleted, or the document was made in another account), the screen and the PDF use a substitute font and the layout looks different. When you build a PDF, the preflight check flags it as Font not embedded. Upload the same font again and the document returns to normal. When the editor opens such a document it lists the missing fonts once in a Missing fonts window, and selecting that text shows ⚠ and the font name in the Inspector's font field.
